Zoom Training with the Grandmaster

Our live, interactive Zoom classes with Dr. Shogo are designed to evaluate and refine your facial techniques. These sessions offer personalized feedback to help you improve your skills and technique. Early evaluation of your techniques is essential for growth, allowing you to fine-tune your approach from the outset.

Available for Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, these classes are ideal for individuals who want to enhance their knowledge and technical proficiency. They are specifically designed for students who already have a basic understanding of the techniques and are looking to perfect their skills.

We highly recommend some pre-class preparation to maximize the benefits of your Zoom classes. To that end, we suggest studying textbooks and instructional videos for each level for at least 1 to 2 months prior to attending. Focus on self-study with these resources so that we can dedicate class time to refining your technique with expert feedback. Please prepare your practice mannequin for the lesson.

Important Notice

‍To register, you are first required to purchase the Grandmaster’s Apprentice Program, which includes the necessary study materials such as skincare products, mannequin and textbooks for Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Classes are usually held on Thursdays at 4PM Japan Time.

Although attendance is required, missing a few lessons per level is not a problem. Please make sure to review any missed content carefully on your own.

About Levels 1, 2 & 3

Please note it is not possible to register for just one level. You will be required to sign up for Levels 1, 2 & 3, unless you are studying Levels 1 & 2 with a Licensed Instructor other than Grandmaster Shogo Mochizuki.

For students who are attending Level 1 & 2 with a Licensed Instructor: Students who have completed Level 1 & 2 with a Licensed Instructor must successfully pass the Level 1 & 2 exam before enrolling in Level 3 with the Grandmaster. This requirement ensures that all Level 3 students meet the same standard of proficiency.

Will I get a certification after completing Levels 1, 2 or 3?

After completing Zoom Training Levels 1–3 and passing the required exams, you may obtain our License. For details, see: Licensing and Certifications.

What time do the classes usually start?

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM (16:00 – 17:30) Japan Standard Time — generally morning hours in Europe.

What are the main differences between Zoom classes and the in-person Tokyo classes?

The Tokyo training consists of in-person advanced instruction and evaluation. Levels 1–3 are not offered in Tokyo and must be completed via Zoom beforehand. These foundational levels provide students with a strong basis in the core techniques. The online classes also offer a valuable opportunity to receive direct feedback from the Grandmaster and ensure that students are properly studying and applying the techniques.

Do I need to bring anything to the lesson?

If I miss the class, will there be a recording?

To preserve the privacy of students, we do not allow Zoom class recordings.

How frequently do the classes occur throughout the year?

The scheduling of Zoom Training Levels 1–3 is based enitrely on interest and the availability of Grandmaster Shogo Mochizuki. These sessions are typically offered once a year.

Will there be private training available if I miss a class?

No. We only offer group Zoom classes.

Can I skip Level 1? Can I take Level 3 before taking Level 1?

No. All Levels must be completed in sequential order.

Will there be an exam during the class?

After completing Levels 1–3, you have the option to take the Licensing Exams, which are required to qualify for the Japan Training. Grandmaster Shogo Mochizuki may also request additional practice to ensure you meet all the requirements for the level.

Can I ask specific questions to the Grandmaster during the lesson?

You may ask questions via email or via the chat, but we ask that you are mindful of the progress of other students. Please limit your questions to what is strictly relevant to the class.

I took Zoom classes for Level 1. Can I do Level 2 and 3 in Japan?

Currently, Levels 1–3 are not offered in Japan. Please sign up for Zoom classes instead.
