Because the Grandmaster would like to ensure that everyone who holds a Kobido® license is effectively able to perform Kobido® Facial Treatments, you may only receive a license by proving your skills in the Kobido® Level 3 Exam.
The Level 3 Exam is not only an evaluation and verification of your skills, but also a condition to proceed to Levels 4 and 5. We would rather avoid having our students spend plenty of money and time on travel expenses coming to Japan just to end up being unable to follow the class due to insufficient preparation. For this reason, we would like to make sure everyone in the class shares a similar skill level.
During the Level 4 training, Dr. Shogo will teach how to enhance the Level 1, 2, and 3 Techniques, meaning that all students in the class must have a clear understanding of all three levels. The class will consist of a very small sample of 10 people under the Grandmaster’s direct guidance. Because of a lack of manpower, we are unfortunately unequipped to bring students up to speed during the training itself. Anyone who is not ready to properly execute the Level 1-3 techniques will most likely be unable to keep up with the training. Additionally, that could also prove disruptive to the class as a whole, requiring everyone to slow down to attend to the unprepared students’ skill level.
For these reasons, we have concluded that a previous examination is necessary to preserve the calibre of our Training Program as well as the reputation and quality associated with the Kobido® license.
For the examination, only techniques 1–100 will be tested. Connections or techniques beyond this range will not be included. To pass the exam, you must demonstrate at least 80 techniques successfully.
The exams consist of a private evaluation with the Grandmaster himself via Zoom call. Each exam will last about 50 minutes. As you demonstrate each technique one after the other, Dr. Shogo will evaluate whether it is satisfactory and instruct you exactly on what to fix and how to improve, determining which techniques require more practice.
We encourage everyone to practice thoroughly by relying on our textbooks and video lessons before taking the test. Please consider that the average student takes about two or three times to pass the examination. After each attempt, we will offer a detailed evaluation of which techniques you have not passed, so that you may practice them and challenge the exam again for the same price. You will not be asked to repeat the techniques you have passed, but rather only those which were deemed inadequate.
The fee is 199€ per exam. Each exam will take about 50 minutes. It will normally be held on any day from Monday to Thursday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (Japan Time).
The exam will be held in English or Japanese. If you require us to provide a live-time translator, we may be able to arrange it for an extra fee of 15€, although we cannot guarantee it will always be available.
Please contact our office via e-mail to schedule your examination so that we may send you an invoice covering the exam and the eventual translation fee.
We hope you see how this is necessary to guarantee the highest quality of training for all students. We are grateful for your understanding and collaboration. After successfully passing the examination, you are free to go ahead and register to the Level 4 Japan training.
